I hope you are well. My name is Ed Samuel, a former DEC Alumni of some 19 years in what feels like a long time ago. However, it is still amazing how I continue to run in to ex DEC or people or clients who used DEC products.

An aging workforce is constantly facing the problem that companies (and more commonly, young recruiters) are reluctant to hire older workers. This reluctance is often based on the myths that surround older workers: they are over qualified, they want to make more money than we are willing to pay, they can't learn the new technology/process/technique etc.etc. This is the reality, even in our tight labor market. So, what to do?
We believe there are techniques that have worked for our Alum's. We are interested in creating an information center of best/successful practices. Anyone can contribute. Most of this is not rocket science, but neither is it common knowledge. If you have a technique or approach that has worked for you, e-mail it to us and we will post it on the website and publish some in the Newsletter.
